Electronic Level Sensors EL-F and EL-T

Pleiger Quality Features of Level Sensors

01

High-purity ceramic measuring cell provides optimal protection against sedimentation

02

Double O-ring made of high-quality materials protects against extreme heat and aggressive media

03

Waterproof

04

Sensor housing made of duplex stainless steel

05

Special cabling with polyurethane cable, suitable for direct use in fuel

Electro-Pneumatic System

Pleiger PEL-D2

One measuring system – two system advantages! The PEL-D2 type combines the benefits of electrical and electro-pneumatic measurement.

Pleiger PEL-C

The origin of remote tank level gauging, equipped for the future. All measuring devices are consolidated in a central transmitter cabinet. This ensures optimal protection against dirt and vibration, while keeping them easily accessible for maintenance.

Radar Level Gauging System for Tankers

For non-contact level measurement, Pleiger relies on precise radar technology. The radar measuring system is particularly suitable for use on tankers and offshore installations, where the highest measuring accuracy is required under changing temperature and pressure conditions.

Multi-flange connection

By using the world's smallest level radar unit, the installation of the entire cargo tank measurement technology is possible on a single ANSI 12″ measurement flange. This means simpler project planning and installation, easier verification, and simpler, lower-cost maintenance.

Consisting of:
  • Compact 12″ deck flange
  • 95% / 98% alarm with vibrating level switch
  • Ullage measurement with radar sensor
  • Tank pressure measurement with pressure sensor
  • Optional connection for manual sounding

Radar Sensor

The key features of the non-contact Pleiger radar sensor are maximum resistance to chemical reactions thanks to the high-quality PTFE-coated antenna, as well as an extraordinarily robust design under temperature and pressure fluctuations.

Benefits of the Radar Sensor:

01

Contactless

02

High-precision

03

Only one wetted material

04

No additional gasket required

05

Additional focusing thanks to conical shape

06

Independent of temperature, pressure, and product properties

07

High chemical resistance and easy-to-clean antenna system thanks to PTFE coating

Integrated solutions

Pleiger PCM for Tank Level Gauging Systems

The Pleiger Control Module System (PCM) combines multiple control and I/O modules connected to a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system (SCADA) via a fieldbus interface. Analog signals from level sensors as well as digital alarm contacts from limit switches can thus be transmitted directly to the system.

Features

Input / output modules IO 8/8/4 for connecting level sensors and limit switches

BI interface bus modules for serial connection to SCADA and visualization systems

Profibus DP and Modbus RTU data exchange protocol

Redundant data connection possible with additional bus interface modules

Short-circuit-proof outputs and overload-protected inputs prevent damage to the module

Display and diagnostic functions facilitate commissioning and troubleshooting
